Membership Overview
Having an IT Membership account
enables you to register for events and workshops being offered by the Information
Technology organizations at Mason. It is also used to reserve equipment offered
by a DoIIIT unit and to sign-in when using a DoIIIT facility.
This system is managed by the
Instructional Resource Center on behalf of the Information Technology Units
at Mason (DoIIIT, Library, and UCIS). If you have any questions this system,
please contact Cindy McCourt at cmccourt@gmu.edu.
What is a User ID?
The user ID for this system can
be the same as your Mason ID but because this system is not connected to other
Mason systems, any updates or changes you make to your other accounts will
not be reflected here. To help simplify matters, a user ID should be the same
as your Mason email. For example, jdoe@gmu.edu would have a user ID of jdoe.
If you were an active member of
the Mason family (faculty, staff, or student) in November of 1999, your user
ID may already be in this system. We uploaded over 27,000 user IDs and set
a generic password to help you get started.
What is my password?
Your password depends on whether
you ever had an account with the Instructional Resource Center of DoIIIT.
If you had an account, try that password first. If not, try your last name.
Note: Your default password
is your last name. You will be prompted to change this password to ensure
your security. This new password will be sent to you using your Mason email.
In the event someone else changes your password before you do, this email
will give you notice.
