Welcome to the STAR*T Workshops Page.

Below is a list of FREE multimedia application workshops available to current GMU students. Registration is required, but walk-ins may be admitted on a space-available basis. (Click here for registration procedures.) Scroll down to view schedule. (The workshop schedule will be updated weekly.) .

NOTE:   Please check the individual workshop Title/Description for class prerequisites. Familiarity with Windows or OSX, including file management and working with multiple windows/ applications, is necessary for most workshops. Training in Office and Productivity Skills (TOPS) offers workshops covering Windows topics, as well as workshops in WORD, POWERPOINT, EXCEL and ACCESS

PrerequisiteDreamweaver CS3 Level 1 and 2 or equivalent knowledge of Dreamweaver CS3.
DescriptionThis level will cover CSS and the Layout mode in Dreamweaver 8. It will introduce and explain the concept and benefits of CSS in Web development.
Agenda/ObjectivesThis workshop will teach you how to create and manage a CSS file through Dreamweaver. More advanced modes like the Layout mode will be used to get a certain effect of Web design.
